A dry-stone hut sits low in a field of tall straw-colored grass, its domed roof stacked slab on slab with no mortar anywhere. Late sun warms the top courses to orange, a creeper with a few red leaves climbs the wall, and grey-green scrub crowds the base. Some shepherd built it to wait out the weather, and it has been waiting ever since.
