License Agreement

This agreement governs your use of content from The Monnaco Collection through your Library subscription. Read it once. The plain-language version is in the body of each section; the formal terms apply throughout.

 

1. WHAT THE LIBRARY SUBSCRIPTION INCLUDES

Your Library subscription gives you access to all current and future content in The Monnaco Collection, including illustrations, photography, video, and resources. Your access continues for as long as your subscription remains active.

 

2. WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH THE WORK

You may use Monnaco content in:

  • Your own personal projects
  • Your own business — websites, marketing materials, social media, presentations, packaging, products you sell, printed pieces
  • Client work you produce as a freelance designer, agency, consultant, or service provider for paying clients
  • Editorial content including blog posts, newsletters, articles, and digital publications
  • Print runs up to 500,000 units per project

 

You may modify, crop, edit, and adapt content to fit your needs.

You do not need to credit The Monnaco Collection, but credit is welcome. If you choose to credit, use: “Illustration/Photography by The Monnaco Collection.”

 

3. WHAT REQUIRES A SEPARATE LICENSING CONVERSATION

Some uses go beyond what a subscription covers and require a separate licensing arrangement. These include:

  • Use as the primary or core element of a brand identity (where Monnaco content becomes inseparable from a client’s visual identity rather than supporting it)
  • Hospitality installations at scale, including hotel groups, restaurant chains, and multi-location retail environments
  • Broadcast advertising, including television, streaming, and large-format outdoor advertising
  • Print runs exceeding 500,000 units per project
  • Exclusive use rights, where you want to be the only party using specific Monnaco content
  • Products where Monnaco content is the primary value being sold (prints, posters, t-shirts, mugs, or other merchandise where the artwork is what the customer is buying)
  • Custom commissions or new work created specifically for your project

4. WHAT YOU CANNOT DO

Regardless of your subscription status, you may not:

  • Resell or redistribute Monnaco content as standalone stock material
  • Distribute Monnaco content through stock libraries, marketplaces, or asset platforms
  • Claim authorship or ownership of Monnaco content
  • Remove or alter copyright notices or watermarks
  • Use Monnaco content in materials promoting hate speech, discrimination, harassment, defamation, or illegal activity
  • Use Monnaco content in adult or pornographic contexts
  • Share your account credentials or grant access to others
  • Use automated tools, scripts, or scrapers to download content in bulk
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source files

 

5. KEY DEFINITIONS

Personal business use: The work you do for your own company, brand, or professional services where you are the owner or principal.

Client work: Projects, designs, or services you produce for paying clients as part of your professional services as a designer, agency, freelancer, or consultant.

Brand identity at scale: When Monnaco content becomes a core, recurring, or central element of a client’s visual identity system rather than a single supporting use.

Hospitality installation: Use of Monnaco content as decorative or branded elements across multiple physical locations of a single business.

 

6. MODEL AND PROPERTY RELEASES

Monnaco content depicting recognizable people or private property has been created with appropriate releases for the uses permitted under this agreement. If your specific use requires additional releases (for example, certain forms of advertising or product endorsement), you are responsible for obtaining them.

 

7. TERRITORY AND DURATION

Your license is worldwide.

Your right to use Monnaco content continues for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription, you may continue using Monnaco content you downloaded during your active subscription period, subject to all the terms of this agreement. You lose access to download new content.

 

8. WARRANTY AND LIABILITY

The Monnaco Collection warrants that we have the right to license the content provided. Content is otherwise provided “as is,” without warranties about suitability for your specific purposes. Our liability is limited as outlined in the Terms of Service.

 

9. TERMINATION

This license terminates if you breach its terms, if your subscription is cancelled for violations of the Terms of Service, or if you fail to pay subscription fees after a reasonable grace period. On termination for violations, you must stop using all Monnaco content immediately.

 

10. CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT

We may update this agreement with thirty days’ notice to active subscribers. Changes will not affect content you downloaded under previous terms.
