A single stone arch crosses a slow stream, its honey-colored blocks doubled in the water so the arch and its reflection close into a circle. Russet shrubs and pale reeds fill the banks, the trees behind are already bare, and a few fallen leaves ride the surface without going anywhere. It is the kind of bridge you cross slower than you need to.
