Wisteria Over the College Door
Dreaming Spires, No. 30
Wisteria spills down a stone wall in long lilac racemes, framing a Gothic arched door with tracery in its upper panels. A black bicycle leans against the old trunk below, petals scattered around the wheels. Somebody parked here and went inside, and the wisteria carried on without them. From Dreaming Spires.

From the collection
Every term starts the same way: a clean notebook, a sharpened pencil, the conviction that this is the year. Oxford and Cambridge have been handing out that feeling for a thousand years.
