Shipping and Returns
How prints and the Annual travel, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong. The short versions of these answers are also on the FAQ.
Prints
Every print is made to order, after you order it, at a professional lab: in the US for US orders, in the UK for the UK and Europe, in Australia for Australia, and at the nearest lab for everywhere else. Nothing is printed ahead and nothing sits in a warehouse.
What it costs. Shipping is free in the US, the UK, the European Union and Australia; it is built into the price of every print. For Canada and everywhere else, shipping is $7 on orders under $75 and $14 on orders of $75 and over, shown at checkout before you pay.
How long it takes. Making the print takes two to three business days. US orders then travel three to seven business days, so allow five to ten business days from order to door. UK, European and Australian orders are similar, because they are made locally. Elsewhere, allow ten to fifteen business days. You'll get a tracking number by email the day your print ships.
How it's packed. The 8x8 ships flat, in a rigid mailer. Larger sizes ship rolled in a tube, which keeps the paper safe; unroll it, lay it flat under a heavy book for a day, and it settles. A set of three ships together in one parcel.
International Orders
Prints for the UK and Europe are made at a lab in the UK, so they travel a shorter distance and carry no customs charge. For Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan and other countries, duties and taxes may be charged on delivery by your country; they are the buyer's responsibility and the Collection cannot predict or prepay them. If your country isn't offered at checkout, write to me and I'll find out whether the lab reaches it.
If your shipping address is outside the US, I may email you after you order to ask for a phone number. Couriers outside the US often require one and the checkout doesn't, so it's a quick question rather than a hold-up.
The Annual
The Annual ships from the studio, not from the lab, so it travels separately from any prints in the same order. If you order both, you'll see two shipping charges at checkout, one for each parcel. Every copy gets a tracking number when it ships.
Replacements and Returns
If something arrives damaged. Write to me within fourteen days of delivery with a photo of the print or book and the packaging, and a replacement goes out at no cost. That is the one thing that goes wrong with shipping, and it's fixed without a conversation.
If the wrong thing arrives, or a print has a flaw in the paper or the printing, the same applies: a photo, and it's replaced.
Returns. Each print is made for your order, so I can't take back a print that arrived as described. If you're unsure about a size, the 8x8 is the low-risk way to meet the paper before committing to a larger one. Unopened copies of the Annual may be returned within fourteen days for a refund of the book's price, with return shipping paid by the buyer.
Changes and Cancellations
Orders go to the lab quickly, usually within a few hours. If you need to change a size or an address, or cancel, write to me as soon as you can; once the lab has started making the print, it can't be stopped. For the Annual, changes are possible until the parcel leaves the studio.
