Vine rows in red and burnt orange run down a slope into a bank of fog, each one held up by a weathered post. Behind them a dark hill carries a clump of trees and a pair of cypresses along its crest, and the sun is starting to burn through at its left shoulder. Give it an hour and the whole valley will be back.
