Three bottles lie nose-out on the slats of a wooden rack, their labels foxed and water-stained until the type barely holds on, capsules gone dull rust and bronze. The green glass has darkened to nearly black around whatever it’s keeping. Old enough that opening one is a decision, not a whim.
