Five sunflowers sit cone-wrapped in brown paper, the yellow ray petals crowded together above dark chocolate and olive centers, thick green stems cut level below the twine. Grey shadow spreads behind the paper and a few flecks of yellow fall loose at the edges. The one flower nobody has ever received unhappily.
