A roofless cottage stands beside a gravel track, both gables up and the window openings empty onto the hill behind, the stones still dark with the last rain. Rust-colored grass and a puddle in the track carry the light forward while storm cloud pulls off the summit. Somebody chose this view once and built a house to keep it.
