Tufts of bog cotton stand white above cut peat and standing water, the nearest clump doubled in its own reflection. Behind them the moss runs out in a flat patchwork of rust, olive, and bare brown, more bog cotton scattered thin toward the horizon. The one flower that seems to like it out here.
